ANTREC Tulcea participated in a conference in Galati – Danube Nature Guides: Raising awareness and advocacy for cultural linkages and nature-based development options along the Danube
Silviu Gheorghe, the President of ANTREC Tulcea, participated in the conference Danube Nature Guides: “Raising awareness and advocacy for cultural linkages and nature-based development options along the Danube”, on 15th April 2019. The conference took place in Galati, at the Natural Sciences Museum Complex and the programme is meant to promote the aquatic ecosystems, especially those related to the Danube.
During this conference, Mr. Gheorghe presented the “Cultural Tourism in the Danube Delta” and the activities and best practices of the National Association for Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism Tulcea Branch (ANTREC).
One of the ANTREC projects that was promoted during this presentation was “Cultural Tourism on the Black Sea Basin Silk Road”. The main points discussed during the presentation of the SILC (Silk Road Local Culture) project were the priorities, the added value, and the overall and specific SILC objectives such as:
- Mapping and cultural footprint of the Silk Road;
- Establishment of a cross-border, inter-regional network of local culture and tourism entrepreneurship;
- SILCNECT label.
Participation in this conference was part of the Group of Activities C. Communication, Activity C.3. Public Event(s), Deliverable C.3.1. Participation in public events or workshops of local, national and international level. The participation in public events or workshops of local, national and international level is meant for boosting project communication. Especially participation in conferences themed “sustainable tourism” and “cultural heritage” will ensure discussion and revolve around decision-making processes that will confirm project result’s recognisability.
