General description of the management activities

Management is the most important GAS since it is directly connected with all the other GAS. Effective management (technical and financial), coordination of the project, among partners and EU, on-time reporting and financial statements, are the main actions of the specific GAS that will ensure successful implementation. The lead partner, AUTh-ECON, with the extensive managerial capacity, will ensure that. Also, Steering Committee meetings and direct communications will support successful implementation of the project activities. All partners participating to the consortium share common thematic and scientific interests, that will result in building the required capacity for implementing the SILC project.

The most important expected results of management will be:

– Setting a regulatory framework of SILC partnership consortium;

– Setting rules that will ensure parity among partners and independence;

– Create the terms for all partners to have equal rights and obligations, and

– Create the conditions required for future sustainable operation, continuation with self and other funds.

The duration of the GAS is equal to the duration of the proposed project (30 months). The proposal is structured in a way so that its transnational character, joint actions and joint budget allocation, are ensured with all partners’ responsibility. In fact, one of management’s major scope is to develop Joint development, implementation, staffing and financing. Joint development defines the project results, the work plan, the contribution and benefits of each partner individually. Joint implementation carries out the work plan, the responsibilities and the development of outputs and targets.

Also, part of the implementation of SILC project is Joint staffing. That means that each partner will work under the Lead Partner who will be responsible for each GAS and will coordinate, monitor and control all activities. In fact, each partner is more than welcome to promote important synergies at local / national level that will ensure the sustainability of the project. However, the role of the responsible Lead Partner of each activity and the roles of the rest of the partners participating in the activity, are clearly defined. Last but not least, joint financing sets the cooperation base for project objectives to be fulfilled.
